Michael Perrone, 34, of Worchester, Massachusetts,  was arrested Friday, Feb. 22, by Manchester Police after they responded to the Funny Bone Comedy Club located at the Buckland Hills Mall, said Manchester Police Lt. Ruan Shea.

Police said when they arrived on the scene they found that Perrone had been heckling the comedian on stage, Aries Spears, and then began threatening him after a verbal back-and-forth exchange took place.

Perrone then left the club and while leaving was seen pulling out a folding knife with the blade open and threatened to be waiting for Spears outside, Shea said.

Officers located Perrone who told police Spears was making fun of him, so he left. A knife was not found on his body, but one was found inside a planter outside of the comedy club entrance where he had exited, police said.

It was later identified by witnesses as the knife he had in hand as he left.

Perrone was arrested and charged with threatening, breach of peace and tampering with evidence.

He was released on $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 7.
